Tirsit Sahldengil is an emerging female scholar who obtained her PhD in June 2022 and a Masters degree in Anthropology in June 2012, both from Addis Ababa University. Since February 2013, she has been working as a lecturer and researcher at the social Anthropology department and Institute of Ethiopian Studies at Addis Ababa University. Tirsit’s research interests focus on gender, migration, forced displacement, and socio-cultural issues. She has engaged in extensive national and international research projects as a lead researcher and team member, and has received academic and research training from various institutes.
